Job Searching on the Internet on Wednesday June 1 at 6pm at South Holiday

Jobs Workshops @ the Library - The Pasco County Library will offer hands-on job searching workshops this summer. Each participant will have an opportunity to find job listings online, fill-in online applications, and prepare online resumes. One-on-one assistance will be provided.

Registration Begins for Summer Reading on Tuesday May 23rd at South Holiday

It's easy! You can read 6 books this summer and get weekly prizes. Just register at any of the Pasco County Library branches, or online at http://www.pascolibraries.org/ starting May 24th. Then start reading your books. As you finish them, tell us a little about each book (online, or in person). All 6 books need to be read and 'reviewed' by July 23 at 4 PM. You can always read more than 6 books! All kids who finish will be invited to a special party!

Our free children's programs will be on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. starting on June 9.

If you know someone too young for school, you can promise to read at least 20 books to them over the summer for our "Read to Me" program.  Storytimes will be on Tuesday mornings at 10:15 a.m. for toddlers and 10:45 a.m. for preschoolers starting June 7.

If you are going into grades 6 through 12 this fall, you can promise to read 6 books as part of our Teen Summer Reading Club.  Free teen programs will be on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. starting June 8.

All programs and prizes are generously provided by our Friends of the Library.

If you are in grades 6 through 12, come on in to the South Holiday Meeting Room on Wednesday 5/18 at 6:00.  We will have video and board games set up for you and your friends to play.  It will be a great free and fun thing to do.

S.C.O.R.E. Creating a Business Plan on Wednesday, May 11 at 5:30 at South Holiday

South Holiday Library and S.C.O.R.E. present "Creating a Business Plan" on Wednesday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the South Holiday Meeting Room.

The Business Plan is the manual that guides the company’s daily operation and activity towards the goals and objectives that have been established. The plan answers the - who, what, when, where, how and whys of your company. Who are you? What are you going to do? Where are you going to do it? When are you going to do it? How are you going to be successful? Why does this make good business sense? You will learn what data is required to write your plan, review the techniques used to acquire it, and how to use this data to establish realistic goals and objectives.

- Research – its importance, sources and usages
- Target marketing using demographic profiles of customers
- Types, styles and uses of an effective business plan
- Format and content of the business plan acceptable to the SBA and local banks
