One World Many Stories!

The Summer Reading Club gets underway Thursday, June 9th at 2 p.m.  Join us in the South Holiday meeting room for a free Lost in Space program.  Travel to a distant planet with Miss Ashley, but watch out or you might just get attacked by an alien!

Registration Begins for Summer Reading on Tuesday May 23rd at South Holiday

It's easy! You can read 6 books this summer and get weekly prizes. Just register at any of the Pasco County Library branches, or online at http://www.pascolibraries.org/ starting May 24th. Then start reading your books. As you finish them, tell us a little about each book (online, or in person). All 6 books need to be read and 'reviewed' by July 23 at 4 PM. You can always read more than 6 books! All kids who finish will be invited to a special party!

Our free children's programs will be on Thursdays at 2:00 p.m. starting on June 9.

If you know someone too young for school, you can promise to read at least 20 books to them over the summer for our "Read to Me" program.  Storytimes will be on Tuesday mornings at 10:15 a.m. for toddlers and 10:45 a.m. for preschoolers starting June 7.

If you are going into grades 6 through 12 this fall, you can promise to read 6 books as part of our Teen Summer Reading Club.  Free teen programs will be on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. starting June 8.

All programs and prizes are generously provided by our Friends of the Library.

Dance Like a Chicken Day on Saturday, 5/14 at 2pm at South Holiday

 Kids!  If you are in grades Kindergarten through Fifth, come in on Saturday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m.  We will be making all kinds of crafts for Valentine's Day!  

Tap into your artistic side and join us for this fun and free event.

Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Friday, December 10 at 11:15

Parents!  Please bring your young ones to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus before they are completely overwhelmed with their sleigh!  They will be visiting the South Holiday Meeting Room on Friday, December 10 at 11:15 a.m. and be bringing light refreshments and stories and games for us too.  

Don't forget to bring your camera!  There will be lots of "Kodak Moments" to be remembered.

Family Night - Winter Crafts & Games on Wednesday, December 8 at South Holiday

South Holiday Library will have a Family Night with Winter Crafts and Games on Wednesday, December 8 at 6:00 p.m. in our Meeting Room.  Bring the whole family for board games and fun seasonal crafts like a tissue paper wreath.

Fall Crafts on Saturday November 20 at South Holiday

Kids!  Did you notice that chill in the air?  It's fall!  Come on in to the South Holiday Meeting Room on Saturday, November 20th at 2:00 and celebrate the season with some Fall Crafts!

We will make a faux stained glass pumpkin window decoration, an autumn tree with sand and an apple magnet.  Tap into your creative side and enjoy yourself at this free program!

Storytime Returns Friday November 5 at South Holiday Library

Storytime returns to the South Holiday Meeting Room on Friday, November 5.

Toddlers age 1 to 2 will meet at 11:15 a.m. on Fridays.

Preschoolers age 3 to 5 will meet at 11:45 a.m. on Fridays.

Come join us for stories, songs and free fun every Friday morning!

Creepy Craft on Saturday October 9 at South Holiday

Kids!  Saturday, October 9th we will be making some Creepy Crafts!  Join us behind the South Holiday Library at 2:00 p.m. as we make bat gliders, seasonal bookmarks and treat bags.  'Tis the season!

Back to School Crafts at South Holiday on Saturday 9/18

Kids!  Need to jazz up your school gear?  Come on in to the South Holiday Meeting Room on Saturday September 18th at 2:00 for Back to School Crafts.

We will decorate notebooks, make a bookmark or two and create cute pencil toppers.  So enjoy yourself at this free program!  There is no need to have boring school supplies!
