South Holiday Library and S.C.O.R.E. present "Creating a Business Plan" on Wednesday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the South Holiday Meeting Room.

The Business Plan is the manual that guides the company’s daily operation and activity towards the goals and objectives that have been established. The plan answers the - who, what, when, where, how and whys of your company. Who are you? What are you going to do? Where are you going to do it? When are you going to do it? How are you going to be successful? Why does this make good business sense? You will learn what data is required to write your plan, review the techniques used to acquire it, and how to use this data to establish realistic goals and objectives.

S.C.O.R.E. How to Successfully Obtain a Business Loan on Wednesday 4/13 at South Holiday

South Holiday Library and S.C.O.R.E. present "How to Successfully Obtain a Business Loan" on Wednesday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the South Holiday Meeting Room.

The aim is to teach participants the right way to successfully apply for and obtain the desired dollar amount of business capital from local banks and/or the SBA. This seminar is suited for business men and women, who wish to finance an expansion of current operations, develop and promote a new marketing/sales campaign, or purchase their business property. It is also designed for those men and women who wish to finance a new business startup or purchase a mature business.

- The terms and conditions of business loans: what they are and how they affect the borrower

“The Easy Business Plan” on Wenesday 3/23 at 5:30 at South Holiday

South Holiday Library and S.C.O.R.E. present "The Easy Business Plan" on Wednesday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the South Holiday Meeting Room.

This library seminar is an abbreviated version of the SCORE439 “Business Plan Made Easy” 3 hour workshop. It should be of particular interest to those considering starting a business or already in business and in need of a business plan. The purpose of this seminar is to introduce the free ToolKit Business Plan software developed by Dick Hall, a small business owner and a SCORE439 counselor. The software is specifically designed to remove the mystery and reduce the effort in developing a business plan. The seminar demonstrates how easy it is create your own business model and business plan. The ToolKit software is based upon business plan and business model concepts from the “The Good Idea and Good Resources Business Plan Workbook” written by Dick.

The four important software tools introduced in the seminar are:
 
- The 130 slide PowerPoint Tutorial that explains the ToolKit concepts and small business principles and then demonstrates with examples how to use the Business Model, the Worksheets and the Business Plan Outline.
 
- A PowerPoint Business Model is used to display the quality of the business concept.
 
- Twelve single page Excel worksheets that are designed to define your business concept using minimal input techniques such as key words, check lists and multiple choice questions.
 
- A Word Business Plan Outline formatted to simplify transferring the abbreviated worksheet data into a professional business plan.

Please join S.C.O.R.E. in the South Holiday Library Meeting Room on Wednesday September 22 at 5:30 p.m. for this class to better use Quickbooks in your business.

This two-hour seminar is designed for persons that have some reasonable experience using the basics of QuickBooks, but who would now like to benefit from its many more advanced features. Our other “Introduction to QuickBooks” seminar, or familiarity with its content, is assumed as a prerequisite to this seminar.
